Nicolas Mosse Pottery is one of the most popular items that we carry. The pottery is entirely handmade in a picturesque setting on the banks of the Nore river in Bennettsbridge, Co. Kilkenny, about six miles south of Kilkenny City. Each piece is hand thrown from a strong earthenware clay and then begins a process of firing and decorating with intricately cut sponges in floral, fruit, and animal patterns. The results are a delight to behold.
